Hunker House | A Designer Haven

Situation

Hunker Magazine is the go-to-resource for home and design. After 3 years of building a community online with their dreamy content, Hunker wanted to a space to extend the brand’s editorial mission to provide home inspiration, knowledge, and DIY solutions for real people and design enthusiasts.

Solution

We helped design the Venice loft from the ground up. With Hunker’s rich online identity, it was important to create a physical embodiment of the Hunker brand: a headquarters where the helpful meets the inspirational for real people designing real spaces. What resulted was a Residency concept that gives artists and designers the opportunity to immerse themselves in Hunker's curated space to capture their own IRL moments. Featured in the home are brands and objects that were a source of inspiration or have been previously featured on Hunker.com.

Hunker House honors the media brand’s California roots, incorporating the art and design sensibility of its Venice Beach neighborhood with local artists and brands featured in the home.

If the Hunker brand were a home, it would be this house.
